Leroy Kanterman

Leroy Kanterman (1923-2015) edited Haiku West in 1967-75. He co-founded the Haiku Society of America with Harold Henderson in 1968 and served as president in three of its first five years.

Below, Kanterman offers his condolences to Virgilio for his brother’s death, accepting a poem in Haiku West. The second letter is a blurb Kanterman wrote for Virgilio’s book.
